Wow! I just watched this trailer 5 times. I didn't even know the film was being made.
I like the old school Star Trek. Especially James Tiberius "Fight 'em or Fuck 'em" Kirk.
After about the third time I realise what it was that grabbed me. It was The Enterprise warning klaxon followed by the sound at the end of the clip. After the lines "Live long and prosper". The Transporter beam noise mixed/segued into the first three notes of the theme tune. All sounds from my youth that meant 50 minutes of escapist adventure.
Full marks to whoever made the trailer. They knew how to press some serious buttons.
