Meltdown in the Irish Parliament
Check out this hilarious clip from parliamentary proceedings in Dublin - the new Ceann Comhairle (speaker of the house) John O'Donoghue loses his rag in the face of clowning around among opposition TDs (MPs). At one point he's accused of making up the rules as he goes along - watch his face turn redder by the second.
The man himself is a loser - just look at him fall apart at the tiniest provocation. A great symbol of parliamentary democracy.
Sigh.
And we can thank Bertie for giving him the job in the first place. How many more years of this will we have to endure?

O'Donoghue really is a moron though - you'd think Bertie would have chosen someone who could at least string a sentence together and not rise to any baiting from boisterous TDs at the start of another Oireachtas session.
I always thought Mary O'Rourke would make a good Ceann Comhairle... that strict teacher air she gives off. Always manages to make male TDs feel embarassed at their own stupidity...
